About Amanda

Amanda graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM) at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN with the degree Master of Acupuncture. This degree program consisted of 2,350 hours of classroom and clinical experience in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine. Amanda treated many patients at internships sites that included the Edith Davis Teaching Clinic, Courage Center and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She was awarded the 2007 MCAOM Student Leadership Hall of Fame award. Amanda received her Diplomate in Acupuncture (Dipl.Ac.) from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Prior to entering graduate school she was in private practice for four years providing reflexology, Thai yoga massage, and energy healing. She trained in reflexology at Sister Rosalind Gefre's School of Professional Massage in St. Paul, MN. This 300 hour program consisted of reflexology and western medicine training. Amanda is a Certified Reflexologist (CR) by the American Reflexology Certification Board. Additionally, Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Management from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

Amanda is a founding member and on the board of directors for the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine-Student Organization. She is also a member of the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association of Minnesota and is a founding member of the Reflexology Association of Minnesota.

She originally hails from New Jersey but now resides in Minneapolis, MN with her husband Andrew and their cat Mikko. Amanda enjoys spending time "up north" in Minnesota on Lake Superior's north shore, and is an avid Minnesota Wild fan.

Amanda states, "My goal as a healthcare provider is to awaken each patient to the inner wisdom of their body, mind and spirit in a safe, nurturing environment." Her treatments are uniquely tailored to each patient with careful attention given to ensure her patients' concerns are heard and addressed.
